First thing you need to know is that you must be the one to do the work. Don't ask someone else and offer a portion of the profits. That is considered rude, and quite lazy. You don't want that. You want to make a good impression. First impressions go a long way. Now if someone offers to advertise your work that's something else entirely.
Secondly, know who your customers are. This is something a lot of people don't consider, and thus do not know how to advertise their work properly. For example let's say you make steampunk jewelry. Your primary customers would be those who are into steampunk. Is your work geared towards one gender or both? How ab

I love to make things, not for the sake of money, but for the sake of making. I am overjoyed when something I've put effort and love into goes to someone who will love and cherish it. That being said, I do sell my crafts and have recently started taking commissions from friends and family.

As for me...I don't really have one set area of expertise, as I'll try anything once! I've been sewing the longest, but crochet sort of took over as soon as I made my first granny square. When I try something new and LOVE it...I tend to become obsessed with it for a while...then go back to sewing or crochet!
